Session 1 – Paying for Energy Efficiency

July 29, 2016; Noon to 1:00pm

Champaign County Economic Development Corporation

1817 S Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820

Of course your organization can pay for improvements out of current year operating budgets or allocate capital funds in next year’s budget, but this isn’t always the best way. Another problem is that organizations often evaluate energy savings investments based on simple payback alone, and as a result, they miss out on many financially attractive opportunities. Participants will learn about practical cost-benefit indicators, including cash flow analysis, and about other ways to pay for the improvements. Come prepared to share information on your energy savings investment scenario, and we’ll analyze your situation during the session.

Session 2 – Analyzing Your Organization’s Energy Use Data August 26, 2016; Noon to 1:00pm

Champaign County Economic Development Corporation

1817 S Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820

You’ve gathered and organized all your energy and facility data, and you’ve entered it all into Portfolio Manager. Now what? Participants will learn how to develop high-level strategies by estimating the energy uses and costs associated with heating, cooling, hot water, and more. Participants will also learn how to validate the actual savings of recently implemented projects. Send us your Portfolio Manager data or your energy bill spreadsheet in advance, and we’ll analyze your data during the session.
